The Ospreys secured a 30-14 win over the Emirates Lions with a convincing performance in the second half.
It was visitors Emirates Lions who had the first laugh through a Franco Marais try on 10 minutes before Owen Williams’ penalty pulled Ospreys back within touching distance.
The Welsh side then got more into the game with Jac Morgan touching down for his side’s first EPCR Challenge Cup try this season.
Another penalty converted by Williams meant the hosts headed in for half-time 13-07 up.
Going into the second half with the advantage, the Welsh outfit made sure not to rest on their laurels.
Keelan Giles came out the blocks firing for the Ospreys as his 44-minute try set the tone for the second period.
Kieran Hardy penned his name to the scoresheet just three minutes later before an Owen Williams conversion put real daylight between the two.
A flurry of substitutions separated that and the Emirates Lions’ last try of the day, which came through the hands of Erich Cronje on 75 minutes.
Dan Edwards made sure to end the encounter on a high for the hosts to wrap up the day’s action at 30-14.
