The Ospreys put a turbulent week behind them with a last-minute try securing a 23-22 win over the Scarlets in a crucial United Rugby Championship clash in Swansea.
The Ospreys flyhalf Dan Edwards broke the deadlock with a converting penalty, to which the Scarlets replied six minutes later with an Ioan Lloyd converted penalty to level the scores 03-03.
Ioan Lloyd nudges the Scarlets ahead with three more converted penalties to extend the Scarlets lead to 12-03.
With two minutes to play in the first half, Sam Parry touches down for the opening try of the game off the back of a lineout-maul, to which the Scarlets replied with a try by Ellis Mee. An unbelievable 12-metre pass from Josh Macleod put Gareth Davies into a gap, Davies offloaded to Ellis Mee who ran in for the Scarlets' first try to extend their lead to 19-08, which was the halftime score.
The Scarlets lead 19-03 at the halftime break which they deserve. Dwayne Peel's side has played the better rugby in the first half and has cut the Ospreys open on a few occasions, however, the Ospreys look very strong in the Scarlets' twenty-two but the visitors have done more with their possession.
After eight minutes of play, the Ospreys made it a four-point game. A couple of powerful carries, especially from Owen Watkin off the back of a driving lineout sent Justin Tipuric burrowing over for the Ospreys' second try which Dan Edwards converted.
Sam Costelow extended the Scarlets lead to 22-15 with a converted penalty, however with twenty minutes to play Dan Edwards converted a penalty for the Ospreys.
With time up on the clock Jac Morgan won a penalty deep in the visitors' 22. The Ospreys drill the ball deep into the Scarlets half and Iestyn Hopkins scores at the corner to secure a 23-22 win.
