Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale 1stXV was ranked 8th at the end of the 2024 schoolboy rugby season. We are used to Oakdale being ranked in the Top 10 of the Ruggascoza Rankings, however, some pundits believe Oakdale can/will become the "party poopers" for the top 5 hopefuls.
However, if "Skinner" is to be believed 2025 could be a repeat of their 2021 season which unfortunately was cut short by Covid. They started their 2021 season with wins over Affies (46-21), Garsfontein (41-12) and Stellenberg (33-19) before Covid interrupted what was predicted to be the best season in a very long time.
Oakdale's U16A was ranked sixth, U15A's thirty-fourth and U14A's tenth on the ruggas.co.za rankings at the end of the 2024 season.
Their fixtures do not show any surprises except for the Marlow clash. Marlow did cancel the fixture in 2024? Unfortunately, no Affies in 2025 and all looked forward to what was labelled the fight for the title of the best pack of forwards in 2025.
Oakdale had two three boys who attended the U16 EPD camp in September and four boys who were invited to the U17 EPD camp in December. Travis Pheiffer was invited to both camps.
