Noordvaal Not So Seker?

Jeppe002

The match Ruggas will attend is the one between Jeppe and Pretoria Boys High at Jeppe. This match may not have any significance if compared to the "bigger" games happening on Saturday, but anyone that never before attended a derby between two boy schools must try to attend. Jeppe is somewhat of a mystery to me I try to compare the Jeppe I saw during the Lions Trials against Monnas who was brilliant and then the Jeppe that lost against ten from the thirteen opponents they played. Pretoria Boys High also not having a great season but hard work from newly appointed head coach Rudi Dames, ex Glenwood is already showing some signs of improvement winning four from their ten opponents this year. Both teams played St Benedict's with Boys High winning 42-23 and Jeppe losing 30-36.  Does this make Pretoria Boys High the favourite, maybe but if those Jeppe boys start chanting "All we see is the black and white" ..... And just a short message to the aunties at Jeppe, no pannekoek and koeksisters no Ruggas.

Affies is hosting a struggling Westville and those Durban boy's trip back to Durban is going to be very long. Waterkloof is playing Noordheuwel which should also be an exciting but one-way game. KES should have way too much for St Stithians and the front row battle should be where it will start as the KES front row completely overshadowed their St Stithian counterparts at the second Lions trials.

The VirSeker Beker is in full swing but to obtain any information from the management regarding fixtures proved fruitless so no attempt will be made at this stage to do a preview on the progress of teams. Matches will only be discussed on an individual basis.

Monnas and Kempton Park will give the players from Monnas the time to recoup before Tuesday's trial games against the Bulls. EG Jansen should have enough in the tank to beat a struggling Rustenburg and Eldoraigne will be very anxious to get their season back on track against Zwartkop especially after the shock defeat against Centurion. Nelspruit meets Middelburg HTS in a league game that could have just been declared the finals of the Pumas region as those two schools are the only two macro schools with a hope in hell to advance. Nelspruit having lost against Middelburg HTS in their first match of the season will want to rectify that first game's result and most improbably will. Wonderboom should beat John Vorster HTS with ease.

The big schools in the Bulls region the final will be played tonight when Tuine meets Oos Moot. This match used to be a tight game but this year Oos Moot just seems to be a bit better than anything Tuine can throw at them. Wilgers should be too good for Overkruin and Pretoria North might just have a very difficult match on their hand against Midstream.

A weekend full of exciting matches ahead just a pity ..................
