Noordvaal Busy But Not Buzzing

With 45 games played and the rankings is 81% accurate if used to do the predictions the competitions and matches must be rethought. Noordvaal is divided into two camps with the VirSeker Competition representing the majority of schools in this region. Unfortunately, this structure is outdated and does not guarantee competitive matches across the board anymore. A rethink is apparently under way and one can only hope it will be done with the best interest of schoolboy rugby in mind.

Monnas is clearly in a class of its own beating a game but not good enough EG Jansen (52-18). Die Anker beating an out of place Jeugland (31-14) and Kempton Park winning against Florida (29-23) in an exciting and very close match. Marais Viljoen had to work very hard to beat a game Noordheuwel (29-21). Eldoraigne was much too strong for Montana (53-17) while Waterkloof is showing everybody it deserves its top 20 ranking after outclassing Menlopark (46-23). Zwartkop was happy to win again (38-19), but their opponent John Vorster HTS is unfortunately well, not that good.

Helpmekaar did not participate as they will only join the competitors late in July when the playoffs start. Oos Moot their only worthy opponent pushed Pretoria North aside with a (52-0) victory with Tuine surprising with their victory against a strong Midstream team (34-31). Linden moved directly into the playoffs after their victory (31-10) against Bastion. Alberton beat Riebeeckrand (28-13) to secure their place in the semifinals. Lichtenburg had a good victory ( 60-10) against Potch Volkies and Randburg surprised with their win (29-22) against Dinamika.

KES dashed any hope St John's had of a victory early in the game leading (22-9) at the end of the first half, eventually beating the game boys of St John's (57-19). St Davids edged out visitors Clifton (15-13) and then the ever improving Pretoria Boys High showed nobody must underestimate them beating St Albans (30-8).
