Paul Roos vs Noordheuwel
Paul Roos set up camp in Noordheuwel's red zone almost from the kick off and scored their first try after ten minutes of play in the first half to lead 07-00. Despite a spirited "comeback" by Noordheuwel, Paul Roos scored two further tries to lead 19-00. A yellow card to Paul Roos with six minutes to play was followed by a second yellow early in the second half, reducing Paul Roos to thirteen players on the field. Despite Paul Roos being short two players, Noordheuwel could not breach Paul Roos's defence. Paul Roos was rewarded for their brilliant defence with a third yellow card whereafter they "intercepted" a kick-pass in their own twenty-two to score their fourth try, extending their lead to 26-00 and sixteen minutes to play in the second half. Noorheuwel eventually breached Paul Roos's tryline with six minutes to play, cutting Paul Roos's lead to 26-07. A stupidity by Paul Roos led to their fourth yellow card, whereafter Noordheuwel scored two tries to cut Paul Roos's lead to 26-19, which was the final score.
Grey College 64-31 Jeppe
Grey College scored an early try, however, they had to wait for another to score their second try to lead 14-00. Jeppe started to claw their way back into the match and score two tries to go into the second half trailing 14-33. The second half produced champagne rugby, however, Grey College took revenge for their loss to Jeppe in Pretoria, beating a willing Jeppe 64-31.
Helpmekaar 21-40 Oakdale
Helpmekaar and Oakdale played a high paced game mixed with brutal defence. Both teams scored two tries, with Helpmekaar leading 14-12 with ten minutes to play. Oakdale's hard-running backs scored two late tries to lead 26-14 at the halftime break. Helpmekaar opened the scoring within minutes of the kickoff in the second half to cut Oakdale's lead to 26-21. Thereafter, Oakdale scored two well-worked tries to secure a 40-21 win.
Stellenberg 18-25 Garsfontein
Stellenberg are making critical mistakes with the wind in its back, and Garsfontein opened the scoring with a penalty goal after fifteen minutes of play. Stellenberg scored from the kickoff to take a deserved 07-03 lead. Stellenberg added two penalties during the final fifteen minutes of the game to extend their lead to 13-03. Garsfontein scored a try after just five minutes of play in the second half, to which Stellenberg replied ten minutes later to extend their lead to 18-08. Garsfontein upped the pace of their attack and spent an extended time on Stellenberg's tryline before the gap opened up for Garsfontein to score their second try. From the kickoff, Garsfontein attacked with pace to score another try and levelled the scores at 18-18. With two minutes to play, Garsfontein scored the winning try with time up on the clock to secure a 25-18 win.
Rondebosch 47-12 Nelspruit
Nelspruit could not use a strong wind in the first half and were outplayed by a Rondebosch team that combined their backs and forwards to lead 21-05 at the halftime break. Rondebosch used the wind to dominate territory and scored twenty-six unanswered points before Nelspruit scored a consolation try. Rondbosch won 47-12.
Diamantveld 59-29 Framesby
Duineveld 19-53 Voortrekker Bethlehem
Duineveld managed to hold on during the first half and trailed 14-24 at the halftime break. Unfortunately, Voortrekker dominated the second half, scoring twenty-nine points in the second half to cruise to 53-19 win.
Rustenburg 15-15 Nico Malan
Nico Malan started like a house on fire and scored three tries to lead 15-00 at the halftime break. Despite trailing 00-15 Rustenburg patiently clawed their way back into the match and were "dominating" at the end of the first half. Rustenburg continued their fine form at the end of the first half and scored a well-worked try after four minutes in the second half to cut Nico Malan's lead to 15-05. Rustenburg added a second try minutes later and had to work hard, despite their "dominance," to score their third try with four minutes to play.
