In the penultimate round of the Noorvall Cup competition, not many surprises are expected as three schools are still in the race for the fourth position and a place in the semi-final play-offs.
The unbeaten EG Jansen tops the log with 30 log points while Garsfontein, who is also unbeaten, have 29 log points. Helpmekaar who have completed their league matches have 28 log points and already secure their place in the semi-final playoffs. Waterkloof (20), Monnas (19) and Noordheuwel (16) are also still in the race.
Today, Noordheuwel travels to EG Jansen and will be desperate to earn the maximum three points for a win and stay in the race. They will be confident after their two points loss to Garsfontein a week ago, however, EG Jansen who is the surprise package in 2023 will be gunning for a home semi-final and final and will not be easy prey.
Garsfontein hosts Nelspruit and unfortunately for Nelspruit will also want to secure a home semi-final and final. Garsfontein needs to win today's match and also beat EG Jansen at home next weekend to secure home matches.
Monnas travels to Menlopark today and should secure an easy five-pointer while Waterkloof who hosts Marais Viljoen should also bag five points to stay in the race.
