FNB Varsity Cup confirmed that mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations are required for anyone wishing to attend any FNB Varsity Cup, FNB Varsity Shield, and/or FNB Young Guns matches.
"It will be mandatory for everyone from players to management staff and spectators to be vaccinated in order to attend any Varsity Cup match,” says Xhanti-Lomzi Nesi, FNB Varsity Cup Tournament Director. "This policy is in line with SA Rugby’s current guidelines for all official rugby tournaments in South Africa.”
Tickets to this year’s tournament will be released over the next week and attendance will be limited to 2 000 per match, as per Government regulations. All spectators will be required to present their vaccination certificates upon entry.
