Noord Kaap and Nelspruit still trying to dominate each other in a very physical game. Nelspruit played the more structured game while Noord Kaap loved the opportunities when gameplan and structure was not in play.

The first points of the second half came from great work by Noord Kaap's backline. With three minutes gone in the second half, it was Leandro van Rooyen who scored in the corner. Noord Kaap in the lead for the first time in the match.
Henru vd Merwe scored Nelspruit's third try to level scores (24-24). With 25 minutes left in the second half, both sides are willing to give the ball a lot of air. The score (24-24) a true reflection of the game at that stage.
Another try by Nelspruit gave them the lead back with 22 minutes left of the match (31-24). A penalty converted by Nelspruit (34-24) with 18 minutes to go. Two late penalties by Nelspruit's Gates gave Nelspruit a win with 40-24.
