Nelspruit High School confirmed the appointment of mr. Ryno Luus as rugby specialist and head coach of the 1stXV team.
Mr Luus, originally from Alberton, brings not only a passion for rugby but also a love for sport in general to the school.
He is an experienced rugby player with several sporting achievements, including participation in the Varsity Cup (UJ) and Currie Cup (Lions).
Highlights of his career include being the top scorer in 2008 during the Varsity Cup and being awarded UJ's U20 Player of the Year. He was also part of the Lions team that won the Currie Cup in 2007.
He was very successful as former Sports Head and Rugby Director at Marais Viljoen High School. His success story includes Noordvaal Cup achievements and being the head coach of the u/18 Lions Academy team who were crowned national winners.
Nelspruit said they are looking forward to the positive contribution mr Luus will make to NHS's rugby programme, as well as the valuable impact he will have on their players, on and off the field.
