A lot of excitement was in the air when SASRA, SARU and the Department of Basic Education announced the return of schoolboy rugby a few weeks ago with 21 August 2021 set as the date for the return of the schoolboys to rugby.
Unfortunately, several fixtures were cancelled for this coming weekend. Grey College vs Monnas was cancelled as Grey College was closed due to a number of positive COVID19 cases. Stellenberg vs Melkbosstrand was also cancelled by Melkbosstrand due to positive Covid19 cases with the majority of matches between Affies and Jeppe also cancelled. The majority of u/14 matches as well as a match between CR Swarts' 1stXV vs Affies' 4th team is going ahead.
