It was confirmed that two Noordvaal Competition matches, due to be played this weekend, were postponed due to a flu outbreak in Middelburg.
The Noordvaal Cup match between Monnas and Middelburg HTS is confirmed to be postponed until 04 June 2022. This is the only date that Monnas have open on their schedule for this match to be played.
However, Middelburg HTS is scheduled to play against Noordheuwel on that date and an alternative date will have to be found for the Noordheuwel vs Middelburg HTS match.
Should the match not be able to be played on 04 June 2022, it is said that Monnas will then be awarded points for a win.
The Noordvaal Plate match between Nelspruit and Middelburg High School was also postponed due to the outbreak of flu at Middelburg High School. The principal of Middelburg High said that 300+ pupils of the school are confirmed ill with seven players of their 1stXV rugby team.
This fixture between Nelspruit and Middelburg is now scheduled to be played on the 11th of June 2022.
