At half time with Glenwood trailing only 5-6 the Glenwood faithfull still had hope in their hearts but when Kwagga van Niekerk powered his way over the tryline of Glenwood within 90 seconds after the second half started the signs was clear for everybody to see. Glenwood then launched attack after attack on the Glenwood try line stretching their lead to 30-5 before the Grasshoppers could respond. A late try taking the score to a more respectable final score with Monnas winning 30-19.
DHS was expected by everybody to win against Westville especially after beating Maritzburg College 48-31 and especially after their major upset beating Glenwood 20-17 a week ago. Westville had other ideas and held on at the end to win by the narrowest of margins beating DHS 25-24. DHS ended their season with 11 wins from 17 matches and losing twice to the boys from Westville.
Hilton had a surprising win against Kearsney 18-7, with Kearsney's early season form disappearing in the mist. Kearsney lost 3 of their last 4 matches. Northwood surprising all with a narrow defeat of 19-25 against Michaelhouse. Northwood could only manage 1 win in their season this far.
