Junior Springbok flyhalf Sacha Mngomezulu will start for DHL Western Province U20 in their encounter with Eastern Province U20 at De Wet Stadium in Despatch on Saturday.
Mngomezulu’s inclusion is one of eight changes to the DHL Western Province U20 starting line-up for the away clash, which kicks off at 14h00 on Saturday.
Up front Rhynardt Rijnsburger shifts from loosehead to tighthead prop and is joined in the front row by hooker Lukhanyo Vokozela and loosehead Christian Lamprecht.
The only other change to the forward pack comes in the second row, with Rhys Fulford at lock in place of Simon Miller, who will feature for the DHL Western Province senior team in their Carling Currie Cup match against the Cell C Sharks.
In the backline Mngomezulu will link up with an all-new midfield combination of Ruben Labuschagne and Paschal Ekeji, while the final change sees Rethabile Louw start on the left wing.
Head Coach Jerome Paarwater said that his team are determined to put together a convincing 80-minute performance away from home.
“We were frustrated by the draw in our opening game against Leopards U20 at Newlands and the players have worked hard to ensure that we raise our standards this week.
“We are excited to see what some of the new players coming in can add and looking forward to a good challenge against EP U20,” he said.
