Manu Samoa Include Three Former All Blacks In 2023 World Cup Squad

 

Manu Samoa's coach Seilala Mapuusa has named their official 32-man Rugby World Cup squad for France, with one player yet to be named.

It’s arguably the strongest Samoa World Cup squad of the professional era. Bristol’s Chris Vui and Leinster’s Michael Alaalatoa were named co-captains of the squad, while three former New Zealand internationals, fly-half Lima Sopoaga, flanker Steven Luatua and prop Charlie Faumuina were included. Also included is flyhalf Christian Leali'ifano who represented Australia at the 2019 World Cup.
