Lyon Olympique Universitaire Edged Zebre Parma 21-19 on Saturday in a Round 2 EPCR Challenge Cup.
After even opening exchanges, it was French visitors Lyon Olympique Universitaire who were the ones to break the deadlock, touching down through Esteban Gonzalez after nineteen minutes of play.
The Italian hosts were soon back into the affair though courtesy of Tommaso di Bartolomeo.
However, a missed conversion from Zebre Parma made sure to leave the gap open for LOU to extend their lead. Lyon Olympique Universitaire led 07-05 at the halftime break.
An early second-half Geronimo Priscinatelli try set the tone for a thrilling closing forty which subsequently did not get going until the 63rd minute.
With Alessandro Fusco seeing red for Zebre Parma, this paved the way for Monty Ioane to bring LOU level.
With back-and-forth scores to follow for the rest of the encounter, Rusiate Nasove touched down before Beka Sagindaze responded for the visitors, securing the 21-19 win with eight minutes to play in the second half.
