The unbeaten Lions u/20 secured a home final in the SARU u/20 Championship after demolishing the Cell C Sharks u/20 (59-18) in Johannesburg today.
The Lions scored two early tries and led 17-03 after just 14 minutes into the match. The Sharks scored two tries themselves to narrow the gap to 15-20 and 17 minutes left of the first half.
Unfortunately, thereafter it was the Lions u/20 that ran amock. The halftime score was 33-18 and the Lions just kept on the pressure for the rest of the match.
The Lions u/20 outscored their visitors with 5 tries to 2 and scored 26 unanswered points in the second half to secure the home final.
The ill-discipline by the Cell C Sharks u/20 at the end made their hosts work extremely easy.
