The Emirates Lions hosted the Pumas in their final warmup game before the start of the Super Rugby Unpacked series next weekend.
The Lions will travel to Durban for their first game in the series against the Sharks on Friday 09 October @ 19:00
Some players who weren’t in action on Super Fan Saturday at Loftus when the Lions lost to the Stormers were all included as well as Stean Pienaar, Wiehann Herbst and Willem Alberts who are all off the injury list.
The first half was very even with the Pumas who scored the first try just before the end of the first half to lead the Lions with 5-0 at half time.
Jaco Visagie, Willem Alberts, Burger Odendaal and Wiehan Herbst came on as replacements as the second half started. These replacements had an immediate impact as the Lions scored two tries in the next 10 minutes.
The Lions scored another 3 tries in quick succession which gave the Lions a 33-5 win.
