The Lions confirmed on Thursday that Springbok prop Ruan Dreyer will return to Ellis Park after a two-year absence. He left the Lions after the 2018 Super Rugby season to joined coach Johan Ackermann at English club Gloucester.
Johan Ackerman left Gloucester during the Covid-19 pandemic which leads to a massive exodus of players including South Africans Franco Mostert and Franco Marais.
The prop was also a member of the South African Under 20 team that competed in the 2010 IRB Junior World Championship.
