The first week of action in the local Preparation Series resulted in some great rugby but some "clown acts" spoiled the weekend.
Myself and many people misunderstood the meaning of "Preparation". The teams are using this series to identify new talent and give players that did not get an opportunity to play earlier some match-time.
The Pumas and Lions match was exciting with the Pumas to blame themselves for their loss. Some exciting Lions put their hands up and confirmed an exciting future for the Lions.
I am in a difficult mood if "people" degrade my game into a circus act
The Stormers lost by 1 point against an almost full-strength Cheetahs. However, taking into account the effect of clown Rasivhenga we were treated by a 7's festival.
The Sharks vs Griquas game was exciting up to the 65th minute. Thereafter, the Sharks sped up the game playing Griquas off their feet.
The tragedy called Eastern Province can in no manner be justified. To send 20 odd players to be humiliated is uncalled for. The egos and clowns in Eastern Province rugby must sit down and think. They do not deserve to play at this level.
