It was confirmed by Diamantveld High Shool that the interschools between Diamantveld and Noord Kaap High School was cancelled due to two positive Covid19 cases at Diamantveld.
One player of Diamantveld was tested positive on Monday. Tests were done on players who were in contact with the first positive result. One more player tested positive and it was decided to act proactive and cancel the weekend's fixtures against Noord-Kaap.
It is expected that this derby will be postponed to August later this year. Diamantveld won the last fixture between the two schools in 2019 with 32-14.
