The Vodacom Bulls' Director of Rugby, Jake White made it clear that they will give special attention to the threat Emirates Lions star Sanele Nohamba hold ahead of their United Rugby Championship Round 10 clash at the Emirates Airline Park.
“Well, first of all, we have to force him to make tackles, I read somewhere after the game that he didn’t make a single tackle against us. It’s not his fault, we just never ran in his direction.
“We will have to put him under pressure, he dropped a couple of up-and-under on us early last time we played, however, you can’t single out a player and just focus on him.”
“Unluckily the ball never bounced into our hands. We have to make sure we put him under pressure."
“Sometimes you got to play a bit more and that is the challenge we have."
White was full of praise for Nohamba and said: “He is playing well. Not many guys can play No.9 and No.10 at URC level. In France, it’s a normal thing. You had Frédéric Michalak playing No.9 and No.10 and you had Jean-Baptiste Élissalde that played No.9 and No.10."
“In South Africa, it’s not really something that is done. It’s almost a French way for me.”
