The Vodacom Bulls u/20 travel to Gqeberha in need of two log points and a win with two points to secure not only a place in the final but also a home final in the SARU u/20 Cup.
The Vodacom Bulls u/20 squad selected to play against Eastern Province u/20 is made up mostly of their second stringers with a few first-choice players to secure a win.
This could be a gamble as the Eastern Province will have a strong wind to count on and their best performances of the season were at home, scaring a few teams.
The Eastern Province u/20s coach made five changes and a positional change to their starting line-up.
At the back, E Walters and L Milborrow will start on the wing while T de Klerk returns at the inside centre. R Claassen comes in at eightman replacing N Carr who moves to the lock. The last change is at tighthead where E Mantewu returns to the starting line-up.
Scrumhalf, Rowan Cloete, will lead the Vodacom Bulls for this crucial match.
“It is never an easy task going down to Port Elizabeth to face Eastern Province u/20,” Vodacom Bulls U20 head coach, Wessel du Plessis, said ahead of the trip to the coast.
“There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded EP team in front of their own supporters. They will be motivated to bounce back from their recent defeat to the Cell C Sharks u/20 team and will be eager to secure the first win of their campaign.
“Our boys will need to be sharp and at their best, if we want to continue the satisfactory run we have had and if we want to put pressure on the DHL Western Province U20 side that sits at the top of the log. We can only hope that the hard work we have put in on the training field will yield good results.”
