The success of Corne Uys and his team at Paul Roos was built on years of hard work. They know the work it takes and will not easily let somebody take that sweet taste of success away from them without a big fight.
That being said, there are a few schools that are planning the success of their season around beating Paul Roos in 2025. Their last match of the season against Grey College most probably will decide who owns the crown in 2026.
Paul Roos was unbeaten in 2024 with their 30-25 win against Affies showing their ability to change game plans on the go, after reading their opponents and countering them on the field. A well-coached and intelligent team is something that is even missing at URC levels.
Paul Roos' U16A was ranked third, U15A's third and U14A's second on the ruggas.co.za rankings at the end of the 2024 season.
Paul Roos had two three boys who attended the U16 EPD camp in September and four boys who were invited to the U17 EPD camp in December. Travis Pheiffer was invited to both camps.
