Ireland continued their dominance over Scotland with a 32-18 win, their eleventh in a row, at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield in the last Round 2 of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations Championship.
Ireland scored first after just seven minutes of play when Calvin Nash scored following a great pass by Sam Prendergast, finding Nash out wide. Sam Prendergast converted.
With eighteen minutes to play, Sam Prendergast converted a penalty to claim three deserved points and extended the Irish lead to 10-00.
The physicality of the Irish is overwhelming Scotland. Captain Caelan Doris crashed his way over for the Irish second try to extend their lead to 18-00 following a Predergast conversion.
With time up on the clock, Scotland attacked with purpose. Following a quick tap five meters out, the Scotes spread the ball wide to find a flying Duhan van der Merwe out wide, who scored a brilliant try to cut the Irish lead to 17-05.
Scotland had a great start to the second half and Blair Kinghorn converted two early penalties to cut the Irish lead to 17-11.
Ireland absorbed a lot of early pressure from Scotland until they got their hands on attacking ball. They spread the ball left and right until James Lowe broke through several tackles to score the Irish third try. Predergast added the extra two to extend the Irish lead to 24-11 after fifteen minutes of play in the second half.
Four minutes later Scotland let a kick from Jamison Gibson-Park bounce for Hugo Keenan to collect. Gibson-Park spread the ball wide from the ruck to Jack Conan who crashed over for the Irish fourth try to extend their lead 29-11.
With ten minutes to go Sam Prendergast added his second penalty of the match.
Five minutes later Ben White sniped down the side of a ruck to score Scotland's second try, Kinghorn converted to cut the Irish lead to 32-18, which was the final score
