EG Jansen is an established school in the Virseker Cup competition while Ben Vorster plays is the 2019 Champion of the Virseker Plate competition.
EG Jansen started the game like a house on fire and dominated early proceedings. EG Jansen used the wind at their backs to set up camp in Ben Vorster's half for most of the half.
The first 10 minutes was a period full of mistakes. EG Jansen was first on the scoreboard after 14 minutes to take an early lead of 07-00. Ben Vorster struck back almost immediately to level the score at 07-07. As the first half proceeded Ben Jansen clawed their way back into contention helped by a yellow card against EG Jansen.

Ben Vorster took the lead with 25 minutes left on the clock to take the lead with 07-10. Ben Vorster at that stage slowly but surely started to take control.
EG Jansen scored a brilliant try just after Ben Vorster lost a player after a yellow card was awarded after a high tackle 14-10. Ben Vorster scored their second try with 10 minutes to go and retook the lead with 14-15. A second yellow card to Ben Vorster allowed EG Jansen to score their 3rd try and take back the lead with 19-15. With no time left on the clock, EG Jansen scored two tries to win with "relative ease".
