Tafel Lager Griquas hosted the DHL Stormers in Kimberley today in the first match of round 2 of the Preparation Series. Griquas scored 19 unanswered points late in the second half but could not secure a win. The Stormers deserved their win (38-32) in the first 60 minutes of the game.

18:55 George Whitehead convert a penalty to give Griquas the lead for the first time in the match. (10-07)
Griquas confidence throughout the first 20 minutes of the match and with 20 minutes to go, the game is even with Griquas maybe just having the edge at that stage.
21:26 Kade Wolhuter converted a penalty following the yellow card to Stefan Ungerer. Stefan Ungerer was shown a red card last weekend against the Sharks. (10-10)
27:45 Godlem Masimla scored his second trie of the match after silk-like handling by the Stormers backline.
30:35 George Whitehead convert a penalty. (13-17)
40:12 Sergeal Petersen scored the Stormers third try in the corner after the time is up on the clock. (13-24)
With 40 minutes gone the game became untidy with ill-discipline the star of the game. Scrappy with the defence on the back burner.
44:24 Marcel Theunissen scored the Stormers' fourth try. The Stormers starting to run away with this game. (13-31)
50:26 Kade Wolhuter scored for the Stormers. The pace and purpose of the Stormers too much for Griquas. (13-38)
59:10 Hendrik Luus scored Griquas' second try of the match after Griquas set up camp for a good 5 minutes in the Stormers' red zone. (18-38)
After 60 minutes in the game, the Stormers lost shape which allowed Griquas to come storming back in the game.
70:05 Daniel Kasende showed some determination as he scored Griquas' third try of the match (25-38)
72:34 Tinus de Beer scored a try after some individual brilliance outstepping the Stormers defence. (32-38)
