Grey College trailed 08-10 at the halftime break against Oakdale, however, scoring seventeen unanswered points in the second half to remain unbeaten in 2025 with a 25-10 win.
Oakdale led trailed 10-08 at the halftime break using those big forwards to great effect, dominating the scrums and the ball on the ground. However, Grey Colege came out in the second half turning the tide in the scrums and on the floor creating several opportunities for their speedsters out wide to add three unanswered tries in the second half.
Grey College is still developing in the first half and this comprehensive win over Oakdale should set the alarm bells off in the rest of the country. Oakdale on the other hand will improve the match fitness of those massive boys up front and should end the season if not in the Top Five very close to the top five.
Grey scored the first try within the opening minute of the match when Lamla Mgedezi went over in the corner with the defenders of Oakdale still on his back.
Oakdale launched their attack from the kick-off with their big forwards bashing at the defence of Grey College and eventually were rewarded with a penalty, which CT Vosloo unfortunately could not convert.
CT Vosloo converted a penalty after fifteen minutes of play in the first half to cut Grey's lead to 05-03.
Oakdale dominated the proceedings at this point and a brilliant break by fullback Reinhardt Viljoen, cutting through the defence of Grey like a hot knife through butter scored under the sticks to edge Oakdale 10-05 in the lead following a conversion by CT Vosloo.
Grey College replied with a penalty conversion by flyhalf Jan-Hendrik van der Linde to cut Oakdale's lead to 10-08 and eleven minutes still to play in the first half.

Grey started the second half as they did the first half with hooker Tian Fourie scoring of the back of a lineout-mall after three minutes of play in the second half. Jan-Hendrik van der Linde added the extra two points for Grey College to retake the lead 15-10.
Ten minutes later Toriq Schambreel scored Grey College's third try in the corner after charging down a kick by Oakdale.
Minutes later winger Benjamin van den Bergh stormed down the touchline and fed Lamla Mgedezi on his inside who scored his second try of the match, extending Grey's lead to 25-10, which was also the final score.
