Grey College travelled to Krugersdorp and scored nine unanswered tries against an outclassed Monnas to win 47-08.
Grey College stuttered and made mistakes early in the first half, however, when that V12 was warm, they simply upped their pace of play and scored five unanswered tries to cruise into the second half, leading 27-03. Grey showed in the first half that they have a pack of forwards that can supply their dangerous backs with enough front-foot ball to run the defence of Monnas to pieces, out wide or taking the direct route. Grey continued their brilliant form in the second half and added four tries to the one of Monnas.
Grey College started like a house on fire, and despite one or two moments of brilliance by Monnas and scored tries by Sherwin Bys (2), Ethan Adams, Lamla Mgedezi and Tristan Maree to lead 27-03 at the halftime break.
Toriq Schambreel scored a brilliant individual try to extend Grey's lead to 32-03, whereafter Steven Muller, Bernard Wessels and Tristan Maree added their names to the score-card before van der Westhuizen scored a consolation try in the corner for Monnas.
Grey College deservedly won 47-08.
