The Gauteng Department of Education has acted swiftly and strict after a Covid19 outbreak amongst students and teachers at Waterkloof High School.
The Waterkloof netball tournament has been cancelled and the Department has visited other schools.
Mr Ryno vd Merwe confirmed that Affies was visited today. Affies had to make several alternative arrangements to comply with stricter COVID19 regulations. The Department then gave permission to Affies to proceed with the Noord/Suid festival.
Mr van der Merwe also confirmed that no school has withdrawn and he does not foresee any change in the fixtures for the Noord/Suid Festival. The Noord Suid festival will take place from 27 April until 01 May 2021.
The Monnas Rugby Festival's organisers announced a new fixture list as some schools have withdrawn in reaction to the Gauteng Department Of Education's reaction.
