France u/18 finished the u/18 International Series with an 85-20 win against Western Province u/18 on Saturday at Paarl Boishaai.
The Western Province u/18 made a great start to the match, dominating up front and leading 13-08 after twenty minutes of play. France u/18 upped the pace and scored a four-try blitzkrieg in fifteen minutes to lead 38-13 at the halftime break. France u/18 was completely dominant and scored seven tries in the second half to secure an 85-20 with Western Province u/18 scoring a late try.
Western Province u/18 scored from a fifteen-meter rolling maul after just two minutes of play to take an early 05-00 lead. Despite their shaky start France u/18 clawed their way back into the match and scored their first try in the corner to level the scores after fifteen minutes of play.
A converted penalty by Western Province u/18 was replied to, almost immediately by France u/18 with a try from the kickoff to take the lead 12-08 after 20 minutes of play. Not to be outdone, Western Province u/18 spread the ball out wide and scored their second try in the corner following a 50-meter run down the touchline.
A brilliant chip kick by France u/18's flyhalf, Luka Keletaona resulted in their winger scoring an easy try to take back the lead with 17-13 and thirteen minutes to play in the first half. France u/18 sped up play and started to find regular gaps in the defence of Western Province u/18. France u/18 scored four tries during the last ten minutes to go into the second half leading 38-13.
France u/18 continued their dominance in the second half and scored seven tries to secure their second win (85-20) of the u/18 Internation Series. Western Province scores a consolation try with time already up on the clock.
