France scored sixteen tries in their record-setting 96-00 win in Pool A against Namibia on Thursday. France secured their place in the quarter-finals with this emphatic win.
It took France only six minutes to open their account when Damian Penaud controlled a kick-pass from captain Antoine Dupont and scored a try in the corner. Jonathan Danty added the second try three minutes later to increase the French lead to 12-00.
Charles Ollivon, Damian Penaud, Jonathan Danty, Thibaud Flament, Antoine Dupont and Louis Bielle-Biarrey added their names to the try scorers in the first half to increase the French lead to 54-00.
The try fest continued in the second half with tries by Baptiste Couilloud, Damian Penaud, Louis Bielle-Biarrey, Charles Ollivon and Melvyn Jaminet entertaining the home crowd.
