The times and venues for Sunday’s much-anticipated FNB Varsity Cup Round 9 matches have been confirmed.
With the fourth-placed FNB CUT Ixias just one point ahead of the FNB NWU Eagles and two ahead of FNB UWC on the FNB Varsity Cup log, there will be plenty to play for as the tournament reaches its business end.
In the two matches at the Tuks B-Field, FNB UCT Ikeys will be looking to secure the top spot on the log with victory against the winless FNB Madibaz, while FNB UWC simply has to beat FNB Wits to stay in semi-final contention.
At Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the FNB NWU Eagles can take a big step towards the semi-finals with a win against FNB UJ, while FNB UFS Shimlas face a tough test against third-placed FNB Maties. In the final fixture of the day, second-placed FNB UP-Tuks will take on FNB CUT in a match that will have a significant impact on the final standings.
