FNB Maties Will Host A Difficult FNB NWU Eagles Team

FNB Maties will host FNB NWU Eagles in Stellenbosch @ 19h00 tonight.

Maties are currently second on the log with only one log point less than the UCT Ikeys. They will be full of confidence after a good 52-19 win against the CUT Ixias a week ago.

However, they will face an Eagles team with their tails up after a surprising but brilliant win over Shimlas with 32-22. This is their second big scalp in so many weeks after sending TUKS home with an 8-17 loss two weeks ago.

Maties must be the favourites to win at home but expect the Eagles to be physical and direct, looking for their third win in so many weeks.

Maties made only three changes to their starting line-up. Taigh Schoor replaces Brendan Venter at inside centre as the only change in the back. Up front De Wet Marais returns at eight with Rhynard Rijnsburger replacing Vernon Matongo at loosehead.

The Eagles' did not make any changes to their starting line-up after their trip to Bloemfontein.
