The Glasgow Warriors cemented their second position on the URC table, beating the Hollywoodbets 21-10 in an error-ridden match.
First-half tries by George Horne, Max Williamson and Kyle Steyn gave Glasgow Warriors a deserved lead of 21-05 in an error-ridden first half with the Hollywoodbets Sharks missing fourteen tackles. The second half was more of the same with the Hollywoodbets Sharks scoring the only points of the half, however, the Glasgow Warriors did enough to beat their visitors 21-10.
Glasgow Warriors dominated the early exchanges, helped by the number of penalties the Hollywoodbets Sharks conceded. Following wave after wave of attacks by Glasgow Warriors, George Horne scored the first try of the match to lead 07-00 after eleven minutes of play.
The rest of the first half was error-ridden with both sides making several unforced errors which cost them scoring opportunities. Glasgow Warriors capitalised on such an error on the defence by the Hollywoodbets Sharks and scored the second try of the match to lead 14-00 after thirty minutes of play in the first half.
A yellow card was shown to Glasgow Warriors giving the visitors the edge and Dan Jooste scored from the back of a five-meter lineout-maul to reduce Glasgow Warriors' lead to 14-05.
Another mistake by the Hollywoodbets Sharks led to the host scoring their third try to end the first half leading 21-05 at the halftime break.
Following several substitutes made by the Hollywoodbets Sharks, Ntuthuko Mchunu bulldozed his way over the hosts' tryline in the corner after fifteen minutes of play in the second half.
The remainder of the second half was an arm wrestle with the Hollywoodbets Sharks maybe just the better team, however, Glasgow Warriors did enough in the first half to win 21-10.
