DHL Western Province Women have made some key changes to the backline for the Women’s Premier Division Final in Pretoria on Saturday.
Captain Sinazo Mcatshulwa’s team will face the Bulls Daisies at 15h00 on Saturday in the showpiece match.
The forward pack which did duty in their semifinal win against the defending champion Border Ladies last week is unchanged, with all of the changes coming in the backline.
There is an all-new halfback pairing of scrumhalf Kim Karassellos and Chuma Qawe, who moves to flyhalf from fullback.
Qawe’s place in the last line of defence is taken by Donelle Snyders, who forms an experienced back three with wings Veroeshka Grain and Alichia Arries.
Head Coach Stanley Raubenheimer said that his team will have to be at their best to win in Pretoria against the unbeaten Bulls Daisies.
“It has been a very tough season and we have had to work hard to get into this final, so we want to make the most of the opportunity.
“We are up against a quality Bulls Daisies team that has not lost, so it will take a big effort from all 23 players to finish on top. We are all looking forward to the challenge,” he said.
