DHL Western Province u/21 Hold On For Win Against Lions u/21

DHL Western Province u/21 got their season back on track with a convincing 25-17 win against their hosts, the Lions u/21 at Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg.

DHL Western Province u/21 dominated the first 40 minutes of play to such an extent that the Lions u/21s only entered the 22m of their visitors twice. The Lions u/21s' struggles in the scrums not only provided a steady flow of penalties for DHL Western Province u/21, but it also disrupted the normal attacking mindset of the Lions u/21.

DHL Western Province u/21 led 22-05 at the halftime break and was seemingly cruising to an easy and convincing win.

However, the halftime talk seemingly re-energised the hosts who came out firing in the second half. The Lions u/21s scored two unanswered tries in the second half, unfortunately, time ran out for the hosts and they lost 17-25 to a visibly tiring DHL Western Province u/21 who could only add a converted penalty in the second half.
