DHL Western Province Keep Their Play-off Hopes Alive With Clinical Second Half Against Sigma Lions


The Sigma Lions faced a big task as they travelled to Cape Town to tackle DHL Western Province, looking for a must-win to keep their hopes of reaching the Carling Currie Cup hopes alive. A clinical DHL Western Province secured a bonus-point win in the second half with 35-13 thanks to a brace of tries by Evan Roos.

The game was still up for grabs at the end of the first half with Western Province leading 16-13 after an error-ridden and scrappy match.

Western Province kept the Lions scoreless in the second half with their determined defence. Two tries by Evan Roos sealed the game for Western Province as they win with relative ease.
