The DHL Stormers added two more names to their "players unavailable" list following their crucial 29-17 bonus point win over the Scarlets in their United Rugby Championship Round 13 match on Saturday.
Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson said after the match that despite the Stormers' "struggles" it was "job done" according to the players.
"It was one of those games where we will take the outcome over the process. It wasn’t poor, it was just we were under the pump."
"The players afterwards are very much "job done" sort of thing. As coaches, it was a stressful and intense experience."
"The biggest frustration after the game was that we lost the territory game hopelessly. We scored two world-class tries, however, the penalties were a problem."
“I think the breakdown was a problem, to give them either penalties or turnovers there.”
“Having the calmness of Damian Willemse and Warrick Gelant was really important, and I think Sacha played brilliantly."
Springbok Deon Fourie left the field with a HIA One concussion which carries a mandatory rest period.
“Unfortunately, it’s an HIA 1, by the fact that he was knocked out. It means he’s out for the next game. So, that’s a bit of a blow for us,” Dobson confirmed.
"He didn’t want to come off, but the damage was done."
Dobson said despite the setbacks the Stormers will travel to Ulster for their URC Round 14 fixture with their best available side.
"It’ll be full metal for this game. There’s going to be a couple of reinforced changes. We definitely want to get Suleiman Hartzenberg back on the field. So it’s the best team, less Deon."
"The other change is Frans who returns to Cape Town. We agreed to rest Frans, so Neethling Fouche will come in for Frans.”
"We budgeted one win from two and to get five points to start with is brilliant. If we can get something at the Kingspan and then hit our home run, we’re going to be very, very hard in the mix.”
