DHL Stormers Are Expecting A Fast And Furious Game Against Emirates Lions

The DHL Stormers host the Lions in Cape Town on Saturday at 15:45 (SA Time) in a match that is expected to be played at a furious pace according to captain Salmaan Moerat who is set to earn his 50th cap.

"The Lions have been consistently good over the last few seasons, and they’ve got a young team which they’ve built up over the last few years."

"They’re nice and settled down, as is their coaching staff."

"They’re also known to have a good scrum so we’re expecting a tough battle up front. They’ll be nice and mobile as well, they’re one of the few packs around that can move."

"But we pride ourselves on our mobility, so we’re expecting a fast and furious game."

The Stormers will be desperate to turn their season around following two losses in the Investec Champions Cup and only two wins from six matches in the United Rugby Championship.

"It is going to be challenging to end the losing streak, if you continue to lose it does affect your psyche," Moerat said

"We all know it’s important that we get the result this weekend. We’ll be doing everything that we can, and our preparation has been really good."

"From a team perspective, we know our potential and we just need to click. Once we get that result things can shift for us."

Moerat said the return of several Springboks is a positive for their performance on Saturday.

"The Springboks, Deon Fourie, France Malherbe, Ben-Jason Dixon and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, is back and the leadership they have brought has been great."

"We will be banking on them."
