Desperate FNB UJ Are Looking For First Win When They Host FNB Eagles

A desperate FNB UJ will host NWU Eagles in Johannesburg on Monday @ 19h00 still looking for their first win of the 2022 Varsity Cup competition.

UJ is in a desperate fight to avoid relegation at the end of the season and needs to start winning asap. After being "robbed" from a win against CUT in round 1 they could not stop a second-half comeback by the Ikeys and lost 24-26 in Cape Town a week ago.

UJ is currently second from the bottom of the log, with one point less than eighth-placed UWC.

NWU Eagles had a brilliant performance against UWC (40-19) in round 2 and will look to build on the momentum to secure another semi-final berth at the end of the 2022 Varsity Cup season.

UJ made only one change to their starting line-up. Kelvin Kanenungo (#8) is promoted from the bench and replaces Buhlebenkosi Qaba who drops to the bench.

NWU Eagles also only made one change to their starting line-up. Gustav Erlank is promoted from the bench to start at flank. He replaces Heinz Bertram who drops out of the matchday 23.
