De Leeuw Leads DHL WP u/20 Against The Leopards u/20

Lock Dylan de Leeuw will captain DHL Western Province U20 in their opening match of the season against Leopards U20 at Newlands on Sunday.

Coach Jerome Paarwater’s team will get their campaign underway against the Potchefstroom side in a match which kicks off at 13h00 on Sunday.

De Leeuw is joined in the second row by fellow Junior Springbok Simon Miller, who recently made his senior debut for DHL Western Province in the Carling Currie Cup.

The other Junior Springbok players in the matchday squad are scrumhalf Bobby Alexander, prop Corne Weilbach and replacement flyhalf Sacha Mngomezulu.

Paarwater said that his team cannot wait to get their campaign underway at Newlands on Sunday.

“The preparations for the season have gone well, we have got some seriously talented players and we are all looking forward to the challenge.

“We know that we face a tough encounter first-up, but there will be plenty of motivation for us to make a good start on Sunday,” he said.
