U18 Craven Week Day Five Fixtures:

A one-sided match with the Leopards leading 28-07 at the halftime break. The Leopards continued their fine form to score nine tries to the four of the Limpopo Bulls to win 51-26. The Limpopo Bulls are going home without a win in George.

The Lions were still in the match at the halftime break, although the Free State were the dominant side. They changed sides with the score level at 14-14. The Lions could only score one try to the four of the Free State in the second half as the Free State overran them with brilliant fifteen-man rugby to win 40-21.

Free State: Tries: Jean Erasmus, Marno Stopforth (2), JJ Theron, Ian Van Der Merwe, Benito Goeda. Conversions: Ian Van Der Merwe (5).
Golden Lions: Tries: Jamaal Feldman, Ceano Everson, Rynhardt Van Der Linden. Conversions: Daylon Myners (2). Jt Kapank.
South Western Districts 27-26 WP XV
Despite the South Western Districts' big pack of forwards' dominance, they made mistakes at the back under pressure. The match was an arm wrestle from the beginning with South Western Districts "playing" more rugby while the defence of Western Province XV created several try-scoring opportunities. Western Province XV trailed 14-15 going into the second half despite losing a player to a red card. DHL Western Province took the lead 26-20 with a great try with ten minutes still to play. However, SWD attacked for the remainder of the match and scored a try with time already up to win 27-26.
Scorers:
South Western Districts: Tries: Therlow Prins, Jay-jay Daters (2), Brendan Gouws. Conversions: JT Strydom, Elgernon Meyer. Penalty: JT Strydom.
Western Province XV: Tries: Bibo Makwedini, Juma Amissi, Samuel Badenhorst, JTt George. Conversions: Leejay Petersen (3).
Valke 29-14 Griquas
The Valke started like a house on fire and three tries in the second half to lead 21-07 at the halftime break. The second half was a more even affair, however, the work done by the Valke in the first half was enough to secure their second win at the 2023 u/18 Craven Week.
Scorers:
Valke: Tries: Michael Devy, AJ Roux, Jeandre Jacobs, Oregopotse Shilubane. Conversions: Duan Du Toit (3). Penalty: Duan du Toit.
