Round 14 of the BKT United Rugby Championship delivered some outstanding individual performances. Here, we take a look at the best players by position from the weekend’s matches, with each side afforded a maximum of three representatives in the final XV.
15. Tiernan O'Halloran (Connacht) - Went over for one of Connacht's nine tries in the win over Zebre Parma and his 98 metres gained were more than anyone else on the pitch.
14. Owen Lane (Cardiff) - Scored two early tries to set Cardiff on their way to victory over Benetton and the 47 metres gained by the winger were the most made by a Cardiff player.
13. Antoine Frisch (Munster) - Scored one of the nine tries by Munster as they romped to victory over Ospreys at Thomond Park and his 111 metres gained was the most on the field.
12. Malakai Fekitoa (Munster) - Scored a try against the Ospreys and was a constant menace throughout as Munster had too much class for Ospreys on the night.
11. Simone Gesi (Zebre Parma) - Was a shining light for Zebre Parma on a night they were outclassed by Connacht but went over for tries and led his side with two clean breaks and a gain of 78 metres.
10. Curwin Bosch (Cell C Sharks) - Scored a try and converted three and added a penalty while leading the Sharks with 77 metres gained as the South Africans stayed in the playoff picture with victory over the Emirates Lions.
9. Luke McGrath (Leinster) - Scored a try as Leinster made it 14 wins from 14 and two clean breaks and 83 metres made was the most for the Irish province.
8. Gavin Coombes (Munster) - Had a game to remember against Ospreys with a hat-trick of tries and his 15 successful carries and five defenders beaten emphasised his dominant performance.
7. Sione Vailanu (Glasgow Warriors) - Scored the first try as Glasgow earned a hard-fought win over Ulster for an 11th-straight win at Scotstoun and his three defenders beaten and 51 metres made was the most on the pitch in both categories.
6. Vaea Fifita (Scarlets) - Went over for one of six Scarlets tries in a comfortable win over Edinburgh and gained 121 metres to lead all the players in the match.
5. Sam Lousi (Scarlets) - Seven successful carries from the Scarlets second-rower led his side and helped set them up for a big win in Llanelli and earned him the player of the match award.
4. Ross Molony (Leinster) - Was a key cog for the Leinster forwards to help the BKT United Rugby Championship leaders maintain their 100 per cent record this season.
3. Jack Aungier (Connacht) - Part of a strong forward group in the nine-try win over Zebre Parma that helped keep Connacht in the final play-off place.
2. Dylan Tierney-Martin (Connacht) - His first-half hat-trick of tries helped Connacht build on a base to go on and secure a big win against Zebre Parma.
1. Michael Milne (Leinster) - In the thick of the action to ensure that an off-colour Leinster still maintained their dominant form this season.
