It has been confirmed that Vodacom Bulls will miss the 2021 Carling Currie Cup after he tested for the Covid19 virus on Monday morning after a PCR test. It was confirmed that Goosen was the only player who tested positive.
Goosen will be missed after establishing him as the best flyhalf in the Currie Cup competition. Goosen scored an impressive 20 points in the semi-final against DHL Western Province last Friday and is currently the 4th top points scorer in the competition with 99 points.
Chris Smith will most probably be the trusted with the number 10 jersey for the final. He was the flyhalf against Benneton during the Rainbow Cup final in Italy.
