Connacht Rugby Impress In Perpignan Against USAP

Connacht Rugby secured a 31-18 bonus point win over USAP on Sunday in a Round 2 EPCR Challenge Cup match.

It was clear from the get-go that Irish outfit Connacht Rugby were keen to showcase their power, with Byron Ralston the first to get his name on the scoresheet after six minutes of play.

Eoin de Buitelear joined in the festivities to give the visitors real breathing space just minutes later before Lorencio Boyer-Gallardo got one back for the hosts just before the 20-minute mark.

Chay Mullins then finished off an impressive first half as the winger breached the USAP back-line to extend Connacht's lead to 19-08 at the halftime break.

Needing to get back into the match, USAP came out the second-half blocks on top, bringing themselves to within one point after 10 minutes.

Regrouping after that, Connacht managed to put more distance between the two on 57 minutes when Paul Boyle found the space to touch down.

With the Irish side in the lead, they were keen to extend their advantage. Adam McBurney granted them their wish just before time to round off an impressive 31-18 win for Connacht.
