DHL Western Province u/20 hosted the Cell C Sharks u/20 at City Park on Saturday and surprised many with their first-half performance, however, they eventually lost 31-19, the Cell C Sharks outscoring their hosts by five tries to three.
DHL Western Province u/20 surprised all with the speed and attractive rugby they played in the first half. With a strong wind in their back, they scored three early tries to lead 19-00 before the Cell C Sharks u/20 could open their account with a try to lead 19-07 going into the halftime break.
In the second half, the Cell C Sharks u/20s started to dominate up front and mauled their hosts into submission. The Cell C Sharks scored four unanswered tries in the second half to travel back to Durban with five deserved log points in the bags.
