Cell C Sharks Held On For Momentous Win Against Edinburgh

 

The Cell C Sharks had to work extremely hard to beat Edinburgh 22-19 in one of the most exciting matches of the 2022/23 United Rugby Championship competition.

The Cell C Sharks had a brilliant start to the match as they scored two unanswered tries to lead 14-00 after 20 mintes of play. The Cell C Sharks showed their willingness to attack from anywhere with the interplay between their forwards and backs the highlight.

A scintillating second quarter with Edinburg scoring three tries to one of the Cell C Sharks. Both teams attacked from anywhere on the pitch with al 30 players playing a big role in making this as exciting match as possible.

The excitement continued during the third quarter and although the only points scored was a converted penalty by the Cell C Sharks the crowds were kept on the edge of their seats.

The final quarter produced a try by the Cell C Sharks which gave them a 22-19 lead which was also the final score of this exciting match. The Cell C Sharks survived several penalties during the last minutes of the match to hang on for a momentous victory.
