Cell C Sharks Have A Tough Opener In United Rugby Championship

 

The Sharks look dangerous ahead of the new season, boasting an exciting blend of Springboks stars and players who have impressed on the path to Saturday’s Currie Cup final.

They finished runners-up in the last edition of the Currie Cup and begin their season away to a Munster side who came second in the PRO14 and the northern section of the Rainbow Cup earlier this year. Munster is coached by South African Johan van Graan and Springboks Damian de Allende and RG Snyman calls are contracted at the club until at least June 2022.

Sean Everitt's side then travels to Glasgow before facing a Welsh double-header against the Ospreys and Cardiff. 

Another Welsh region, the Scarlets, will be their first visitors of the season in Round 6 (27 Nov 2021) followed by Zebre (04 Dexc2021). The Cell C Sharks will travel to play the Rainbow Cup winners Benetton at the Stadio Comunale Di Monigo, Treviso on 08 January 2022.
