The Suzuki Griquas absolutely dominated their hosts, NovaVit Griffons scoring nine tries on their way to a 59-07 bonus point win.
It took the Griquas two minutes to score their first try when winger Sako Makata outsprinted the defence down the touchline to open the scoring for Griquas. Five minutes later Dylan Maart cut the Griffon's defence in two and ran fifty meters for Griquas' second try to extend the Griquas lead to 10-00.
Three minutes later Moango Ngundue bulldozed his way for the Griffon's first points of the match to reduce the Griquas' lead to 10-07.
Fortunately, sanity prevailed and the Griquas started to build on their dominance. After twenty-five minutes of play, Marco de Witt scored the Griquas' third try off the back of a lineout-maul to extend their lead to 17-07.
Sako Makata scored his second try, mastering a kick pass by Zinedine Robinson, to stroll over for the Griquas' fourth and bonus-point try to lead 24-07 at the halftime break.
The Griquas continued their dominance and added tries by Dandre Delport, Connor Mahoney (2), Tertius Kruger and Marco de Witt to breeze past NovaVit Griffons for a 59-07 win.
